Ice cream, target, shoes, and wine.

Just what I needed. Last night Laura played hooky (she works nights now) so we could hang out.

The evening started with a walk to Ben and Jerry's.... apparently, Tuesday is free scoop day! I enjoyed Cherry Garcia (a flavor that always reminds me of Lynette)

On the walk back, we stopped at the Target $1 spot, because that's just something we do! and before we headed to Trader Joes to pick up what we needed to make dinner, it just made sense to stop in at Payless Shoes.... nothing like a pair of kelly green slipper shoes (for me) and rainbow-bright heels (for Laura) to make a girl swoon, seriously....

For dinner it was tortellini and baby squash with pesto sauce. A BH&G everyday easy recipe. Quite the team effort too, as Laura enjoyed blending the pesto together.

Oh and of course we shared a whole bottle of wine...and more laughter than the both of us have had in a while. The perfect evening to brighten both our spirits.
